Skagit Winches are now manufactured by Oil States who design mooring systems, bow windlasses, capstans, tuggers, stern rollers, storage winches and sheaves for the marine industry.
Winches are designed to provide safe anchor handling, towing and mooring activities to offshore operators working in water depths ranging from a few hundred feet to over 10, 000 feet (3, 000 m) worldwide. Oil States is the leader in designing and manufacturing deepwater mooring systems for offshore drilling vessels, pipelay and derrick barges, and floating production systems.
The company continued to expand, developing, designing, and producing logging, marine deck, and construction equipment. In 1969, the long-time family-owned business became a subsidiary of the Bendix Corporation.
Skagit Corporation was a subsidiary of The Bendix Corporation and manufactured heavy machinery and hoists for the offshore, marine, construction, and logging industries.
For Skagit Support, HOSS WINCH CO. is here to cater to this growing demand with custom or refurbished winches that can be used for a myriad of purposes and industries.
